Inspiration

An airplane soaring through the deep blue heavens evokes a sense of adventure and boundless possibilities.  Therefore, this piece captures the magic of travel and the serene beauty of the night sky, reflecting dreams of exploration and the allure of the unknown.

The Making Process

1. Canvas Preparation: Begin with a blank canvas, ensuring it’s primed and ready for painting.
2. Background: Using various shades of blue poster colors, create a textured, cloud-filled sky. Start with lighter blues, gradually adding darker tones to create depth and the illusion of a star-studded night.
3. Texture: Employ techniques like sponging or splattering to add layers and texture, mimicking the ethereal quality of clouds and distant galaxies.
4. Airplane Silhouette: Once the background is dry, sketch the airplane silhouette in the center. Fill it in with solid black poster color, ensuring clean, sharp edges to contrast against the vibrant sky.
5. Finishing Touches: Add subtle white dots and streaks for stars and highlights, giving the painting a magical, starry night effect.
